Overview
What does $14 per sq ft price get you?
For your money at this price level you will get a basic floor plan showing what the layout of the basement will be. All applicable building permits pulled. Your basement walls will be framed with treated lumber on the seal plate, and will have applicable horizontal and vertical draft stop to meet code. Your walls will insulated with a minimum of r-13 insulation, if your walls are already insulated your ceiling will be insulated. Electrical will be done as per the requirements of the Uniform Electrical Code, and will include hardwiring smoke detectors. Plumbing for 1 bathroom will be provided including a 3 piece vinyl tub surround, ceramic tile on the floor and a vanity with a solid surface top. 1/2" sheetrock and a 2 tone paint will be provided
As a rule of thumb, the trim, doors and hardware should match the existing home, but your current finish level may prohibit that from being a realistic option at this level. And all of this will be done at a guaranteed price with a guaranteed completion date.
